Storyline

The game doesn't really have a storyline, however your main objective is to pay off your mortgage from Tom Nook. There are several upgrades for your house, each time you pay off some of the mortgage, you get some extra space, room or upstairs for your property. The mortgage is paid off through the postal division in the Town Hall, using bells.

Interaction with other characters in the game is another main part of the game. New residents are moving in and out all the time. Talking to different characters can build friendships and you recieveing gifts. Other parts of the game include, fishing, bug catching, star gazing and digging. Fish and bugs you catch for instance can be donated to the museum or sold to Tom Nook, giving you some bells to spend on furnishings for your house, or your mortgage. As well as this there are many different festivals throughout the year. These include; Yay Day, August Fireworks, Flower Festival, Acorn Festival. No festivals celebrated in real life are in the game other than, New Year.

The game also keeps real time. If you play the game in the summer, the days can be longer than in the winter. If you play during the night in real time, it will be dark on Animal Crossing: Wild World.
